there hasnt been much going on for concerts since...a while! it seems like all the bands are just not really doing much of anything, but i at least want to set up an acoustic show sometime soon. i have harborside fly-by's permission to hold it there on a weekend sometime, but just have a lack of people wanting to play (and initiative on my part) so if anybody wants to help plan, or wants to play let me know

yeah, people should really start putting shows together and recording and making sites and everything. i know kodiak has the talent, i guess they just need the energy.

What an awesome opportunity...it would be a shame for anyone in Kodiak to pass it up...YAEFER FOR PRESIDENT!

I don't really play any acoustic stuff. I can play one APC song on acoustic (it's a good song) but that's it. I would definitely be interested in helping getting a show going though... maybe a "Battle of the Bands" deal or just a show. I am assuming (and hoping) we will re-unleash our awesome with Thorstock '05. Thorstock '04 kicked ass even though it sucked. Organization- or lack thereof- is our main problem.

oh no! the "scremo" band of kodiak has been disbanded! they have split ways and formed several different, but equally "talented" bands.
;)sleepy was here.

no no, it's not THAT big of a deal. just let the word travel by mouth i guess... or travel by text rather, since most people will just link eachother on msn or something.

Don't count on Tonia, but maybe Savannah and Stephanne. I'll have to tell them Monday.
I've work at Harborside if there's anyone else that's interested in playing there. We've had a couple successful acoustic shows the past couple months, and I think my boss would love to have more. Just get some stuff together and we can help advertise and all that.

i talked to logan yesterday, and so far our plan is to have an acoustic show in two weeks, most likely saturday night, at fly-by, so if you could possibly talk to your boss about that rachel and have her call me or something, it would be much appreciated. my number if 3640.

We need to get a live band concert type thign going. Maybe even another battle of the bands. The one we had was a pretty big hit. THat would be cool, because there are a lto more peopel into music now, so it could go for quite a while, and have a lot larger selection than last time (one emo band, one classic rock cover band, and one metal band). That ore we coudl just have a live show thinger. Either way we need to get soemthing going. I see you guys have an acoustic gig going,b ut all of us don't play acoustic. Yeah. We need a show, BAD.

from what i gather there aren't as many bands right now. the music scene is on a low point. it's not like it was towards the beginning of this millenium. right now people are just starting to learn, but there aren't as many bands i guess, a lot more solo stuff going on. we need a band revolution. i'd say hold battle of the bands off untill summer like it was two years ago. have it in june or july or something. sometime between crab fest and music fest.

Yeah. Lots of peole are getting into it right now. I just taught Asa a power chord, yay! Anyway, yeah I guess there is really a lack of actual bands. There's Leedy's band, and us, and.. uhh.. umm.. well there's Rick Chamberlain's band and some other older guys' bands, but I don't really know any of them. They play mostly at bars anyway so I'm 4 years short to know much about them.

sometime this week someone should find out if any of the bands within the school are still together, and if so, if they would be interested setting up a concert. then we can start setting up dates, with enough time for people to get ready for the show. yeti causes train wreck will play, and i'm guessing ledys will too. im sure there will be freshmen and other people we dont know of that would be very willing to play.

My band would be able to play there as well. Maybe we should get ahold of Ethan next time we practice, so we can get some actual time in with all of us. Or not. I like playing with the drum machine hehe. I don't know fo any bands, but I know some kids that play and could proably scrape together a band. I'll talk to them on monday, and get them on here. Also... Ande, I'd be willing to help with the Skan/Reggae/Island music stuff, if you need me.

i know of one freshman band, which has ms stewarts brother playing bass for them. but every time i have asked them if they would be interested in playing a show they say that they could never be ready and that they suck too much. i will attempt to persuade them otherwise tommorow.
