let us start at the beginning...
a tall white boy sits in his room, on his computer, making adjustments to his mics and editing his newly recorded song entitled "the floutist". yes, it was none other than alfonso sitting there in the basement. chris (alfonso) miller worked as a bagger with friend alan hayes, and later posse mates, nic lechner and andrew nickerson. chris and alan came up with the concept of tupence for chris's av final. he was to make a rap video and for it he made a song and put it up on pure volume. nic, chris, and andrew chatted online for a while about recording and the alfonso material among other things and then tupence began to explode onto the scene. many didn't know that tupence and alfonso were the same person. andrew then brought ryan bateman and uly rivera into the scene as they were hanging out together playing exciting late night games of risk . all five future members began talking online.
it wasn't until a chance meeting with chris when uly, ryan, and andrew went to alaska food for less that the odp2 idea came into conception. later that night plans were made. chris, uly, and andrew stayed up writing lyrics for the song they would record a few days later. names were still in the works and andrew was originally to be named t-bag but handed the name over to ryan when the meaning was explained to him because not only is andrew naive, he's also lame. it eventually came to be that tupence (chris), tri d (nic), andy 3000 plus 2 (a3p2, andrew), barthlemew balthazar gettysberg the 56th(bebe g, uly), and t-bag (ryan) formed the rap group oh dang plus 2 and recorded their first song "premier" over the course of two days in a room at andrew's somewhat smoky and crisp house. mixing and editing was later done by tupence in his basement.
odp2 became known throughout kodiak and met with both good and bad remarks. later a3p2 would move to hawaii and bebe g would go on a trip to the phillipines. this was only the beginning of the hard times odp2 would have to face. in a terrible accident tupence's honda accord would smash t-bag's leg inbetween two cars while trying to jump the battery, breaking his leg and requiring surgery in anchorage to have it repaired. with this tupence released his song "tribute".
t-bag eventually recovered just in time for the bear country music festival, where the now trio of rappers performed for the first and last time, but they were met with a warm crowd of boys, girls, parents, and a fourteen year old girl fanclub.
tupence later parted ways with the group when he moved to north carolina where he is recording new songs, east coast style. tri d then also left for california dreamin, and is now thugging it up in da streetz of l.a. now the only remaining members still in kodiak are bebe g and t-bag. they will be joined by a3p2 this winter when he brings the samoan/hawaiian thug rap up north and quits pushing ice and smoking cannibus with the rastafaris.
a new odp2 song is in the works as the group plans to collaborate over the internet.
