I sorta like them. I have a good portion of the songs from "Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness". It's pretty good, but there are some songs that I just hate on there. I love "porcelina of the vast oceans" and "Thru the eyes of ruby" however.
So, I like some of their stuff, but I don't listen to them very often. Corgan's voice starts getting to me after awhile anyway.

man, you're missing out. each album is different from the last so there are many different tastes to the pumpkins. if you don't like one that doesn't mean you won't like another.

I love them. I think my favorite songs are "Drown" and "Zero".

Siamese Dream is probably my favorite album by them, though I really do love Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. I'm listening to Mayonaise right now.

I will not discuss my opinion of the Smashing Pumpkins. You owe me one, Andrew.

i couldn't ever get into them. i also only just recently started listening to lyrics sooner than never. would that have anything to do with it?

I guess I can give them another shot. If I already have most of Mellon Collie, which is another album I should check out?

Chris Pinto played Smashing Pumpkins in Psychology once. I remember the singer's voice sounded whiny, from one particular song. It was titled as a year. Can't remember it though.

One of my favorite songs is The Boy which is just a B-side I believe. It's one of the cutest songs ever. I'm going to go listen to it right now...

Yes there is. I used to listen to New Found Glory. New Found Glory! Holy Shit. If that isn't a dark period, then I'm J. J. Gardener. You can't argue with that. I'm nowhere near that disgusting, and you know it.
I listened to Machines of God today. It was sort of cool. THeir older stuff is better.

I don't feel guilty for anything I liked when I was younger. I still like the stuff, and probably always will. I just don't listen to it as much.
But, onto the Smashing Pumpkins. I'll have to listen to Siamese Dream. Maybe I'll play some on the Friday KMXT rock show.
