One of my new favorite bands. Their stuff is so damn catchy! They remind me of the Ramones sometimes although they are more glam oriented and not punk. There is nothing terribly deep about these guys but they're fun to listen to. Power Pop at its very finest.
Their best work is on Destination Boulevard from '75. Sweet F.A., the Ballroom Blitz, Solid Gold Brass, the 6-Teens, Fox on the Run, Now you Dont. Man, this stuff kicks.

They're probably too bubblegummy for ya Forrest. They have some catchy, hard music, but they also like to do extraordiarily high pitched "yeeeaahhs" that are even more extreme than Justin Hawkins. These guys were one of the original glam rockers and it definitely shows. The have all of their balls in vices all the time.

Sometimes. I tend to like glamrock in low doses however. Fox on the Run is really the only song of theirs ever played on the radio. However, "The Lies in Your Eyes" really kicks ass.
Their career went from bubblegum power pop in the early 70s to hard rockers who didn't take themselves too seriously by the late 70s (their best period) and then into AOR by the late 70s/early 80s.

I like OAR. But they're not 80's glam rock, and that doesn't explain what AOR means.

AOR is Adult Oriented Rock. It was sort of the Mix 101 version of Rock music in the late 70s and early 80s before new wave kicked in. You've got punk, metal etc, and then the more commercialized type: (but still kickass) REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Journey, etc are all AOR. This style shifted by the mid 80s as New Wave began dominating the charts. I dunno, I think you could still consider some of today's music AOR.
