Hey everybody. I'm pretty sure that most of you already know, but for those that don't, I can play the guitar. I will be willing to show you how to do it too if you give me $15 for one hour a week or $10 for one half-hour a week. I teach at my house, if you're interested, call me at 487-4449 and ask for Justin Leedy.

Vinyl skintights are optional, Tucker. And yes, only manly passion will be tolerated.
Actually, I teach a few kids that play emo and pop punk, but I make them learn all their scales and chords and understand what it all means. Usually I'm teaching theory instead of technique, but you'll learn technique as well. Lots of modes and circles of fifths and interval patterns and fun stuff like that.

I don't care if you have a job or not. You can steal can't you? Do you know how to sell crack? There are lots of ways to make money and buy guitar lessons.

Good. Of course, I'm going to have to charge you triple for insolence. Don't blame me, you brought this on yourself.

Hey due to the fact that your way way better at guitar then I ever will be, yet I still somehow teach guitar lessons, I was wondering on what all you do with new students that have never played guitar before so I can see if what I am doing isn't going to screw them up forever.

Ask a few seemingly innocent questions here and there, ask for advice on something, ya know, just sneak 'em in.

I usually try to find out what they want to get out of playing the guitar and base my lessons around their goals. If they've never played ever, I might just show them how to hold it properly and where to put your fingers and the pick. Most of the time I'll teach them "Smoke on the Water", too.

I like being able to get beyond the stuff like 'this is an E chord'. Some of my students are getting some confidence, but the only one I get to have fun with is Justin Sekerak. We get to do soloing over modal chord progressions and sweep picking technique and other fun shred stuff.
He listens to Maiden.
