Alright, I'm going to start pissing some people off. I don't care who beleives me or what you have to say. Say it if you want, I'll at least read it. Since taking up meditation, I have spent many a night in Fort Abercrombie. As many of you know, it is not only a WWII fort/site thing, but the site of an old native village and the "Cry of the Wild Ram" amphitheatre. Well, there are wierd things there. I mean REALLY wierd. The first time I tried to go onto the Ram Site alone, I couldn't. For whatever reason, I could NOT do it. I couldn't pass a certain spot. Being who I am, I kept going back, and now visit regularly. The truth is, I think I may one of these times see something. Yeah, yeah, whatever. A ghost. Call it what you will. Well, that is the Ram site. The beach is a different matter. One night, we (Matt VanDaele and I) were there, with a huge bonfire, as we always have, and we didn't sleep, again, como lo normal. When the water came up near the fire, strange things happened. The water got within about 10 feet of the fire, and it got REALLY smoky and foggy. If any of you have been on the ocean side of the lakeshorebeachthing at lake Gertrude, where the picnic tables are, you will appreciate this: We could not see the trees to either side, nor the large rocks our in the water. We could see the lake with difficulty. We just sort of sat there, it was very strange. It felt like there was something, or lots of somethings, there. We started getting really freaked out. We stayed up all night, and went home not really understanding what had happened, and it all sort of felt like a dream. It was insane. I felt some relly evil stuff there. I mean.. you could tell.. we tried to walk down the beach, and we couldn't, because it felt wrong, to go to certain spots, or directions. There are sections of the woods too. Good, Evil, and Neutral sections. This must all sound crazy. It was crazy, you sort of have to experience it to understand or believe it. I dont even understand it. If you ever have a chance, spend the night at Fort Abercrombie on Kodiak Island and walk all over the place. Visit the Ram Site. Walk off random directions in the woods. It's really crazy, but beleive me, it's all worth it. It will also make what I am talking about a lot more clear. The first night I spent out there changed my life, I think. In a way. This sort of adresses the topic. It just didn't belong in my thread. Take from this what you will.

Hmm.. this is a slightly better addition to this post. I have recently been trying to project myself to other places, to "be" in other places. Sort of Astral Projection.. not really.. I don't know. I am gettign way into this stuff though, and it's really opening things up for me. I feel clearer-headed all the time, more alert, blah blah. You have to do it to get it.

i've always wanted to go on ghost hunts. i think that would be so awesome to do. forrest, sometime you should go out to fort abercrombie with some little audio recorder and tapes and a video camera that has night vision. sometimes people have picked up voices on tapes that weren't there in real time, but playing the tapes they suddenly appear. also there are those "orb" things that appear on cameras and stuff. maybe sometime i will go do that at abercrombie.
i like to keep a reasonably open mind when it comes to this stuff. astral projection is kind of getting out there though. i once read that you could "teleport" yourself by just kind of picturing the place or person you wanted to see. you focused on their image and eventually you'd start to see this little white light and you start to focus on that and it gets bigger and somehow you teleport. all this stuff is just so crazy and weird. i don't believe a lot of it, but it'd be kinda cool if it were real.
coast to coast am can fuck with your head sometimes. i haven't listened to that show in a while.

I'm guessing that Forrest would be quite against this, but that's his matter. Anyway, I think that there are other beings out there. There are so many things that we don't really know about this world, and other states of consciousness etc. I don't really believe in tarot cards or any of that stuff, but I think there are some "others" out there.

I wouldn't be against the "ghost hunt" thing, except I'm in it more for the spiritual gains. As much as that would be cool, it isn't what I'm after. I want something to touch me, to touch my mind.

The closest thing to any of this I've experienced thus far in my life is when I'm practicing Karate(no Tucker, we can't turn this into another martial arts thread.....) but when you focus on the art and nothing but that, your control over your body increases exponentionally, if you can do it right, you can easily bend your body past its normal limits. Your sense of body placement is also increased dramatically. It's almost as if you can step away from your body and transform it as a sculpter shapes clay. But at the same time, it's insanely difficult to maintain the same level of concentration without becoming distracted. But when in this state of concentration, it is most definetly like a trance, all your senses are increased, and all systems are run at optimum efficiency, great for getting stuff done and workin' hard. It's also easy to adapt it to other parts of your life as well....

haha, this just came to mind, but once i was lying in bed just kind of relaxing after my hard night's sleep, staring up at the ceiling when all of a sudden i feel this kind of friendly but firm tap on my forehead. it kind of startled me and there was noone in my room or anything. also i remember being scared as a child because i saw some short, black cloaked figure run past my door and down the hall.

Okay, this happens to me all the time when I am going to sleep or meditating. I get relaxed and then BAM! Massive shock-type-feeling. Like I juts got a milliseconds long elecrocution. It's wierd. It always involves a "waking dream" type thing where I am falling asleep and dreaming at the same time or whatever, and something hits me or I trip or something, in my "dream" and there is this massive jolt. I am going to bed now, It is late. Goodnight.

yeah man. that's like when you're lying in bed and just wake up suddenly and kind of convulse a little bit. dreams are pretty crazy.
little off topic but, waking life is an awesome movie and i suggest that people see it.

i've seen that waking life. quite interesting i've of course also seen donnie darko. is this where the astral projection is coming from? on the same lines, there's sleep paralysis where you can't move when you're waking up. never happened to me, but to (a) close friend(s). i think my brother's big on all this stuff. we talk about it when we drink together

forest, i believe you! i thought all this stuff was really stupid and could never happen(the ghost type stuff) untill one night this guy and his brother were telling a story about their house and all this crazy shit like little girls they were seeing and dreams about girls spirits wanting help or something. then they found out 3 little girls were killed by a child molester guy a few years back.
i know that sounds stupid, but the two guys were dead serious and one of them started crying in the middle of it. so ya..it could be real. or it was just cus we were drunk.
either way, it was really freaky

I've sort of had stuff like that, maybe my house has folksey's spirits here, or I'm just paranoid, but for some reason, I always feel like there's something at my back in my own house and that anytime I'm about to turn a corner something's gonna be standing there lookin' at me......

theres this guy i know, my dads friend, and he SWEARS TO GOD he saw bigfoot by the side of the road. he ususally jokes about alot of crap so when he said it we just all started laughing, but he was dead serious and he started getting all pissed off because we wouldnt believe him and gave him crap for it. it was probly the craziest most unbelievable story i have heard in a long time. especially since he said bigfoot was waving to him.

we always thought that, but even to this day he wont admit it was a joke, and still gets super pissed, so i actually started to believe him at least about seeing him, i dont know so much about the waving...that goes a little bit far...
