but I am building a speaker cabinent and require much assistance as I have no clue what I am doing. I have a 2 10" sub-woofers, 2 6.5" woofers, and 2 4" tweeters. Got a car stereo & amplifier wire kit and am ordering amp head. All speakers are rated for maximum of 300 watts. What more will I be needing?

Talk to Nic about this one, James. He built his own cab out of plywood and it sound really good. It actually puts out more volume than my cab with the same amp. So he knows what he's doing here. You are gonna need some 1/4 inch jacks for the speakers, though.

ok...if you are having someone build the cab then the hard part is done. all you have to do, is screw them suckers in and wire them up. run the wires negative to positive starting with one speaker and working your way around to the rest. negative postive negative positive. go to radio shack and get the 1/4 female jacks. from the last speaker you wired run a wire it to the female and drill a whole in the cab for it to fit in. you can either make your speaker cable to connect the head to the cab, or buy one. run the cable from the female jack out of the cab and into the speaker port on the back of your amp.

Hmm, well I have some 1/4" female jacks, Mono, open circuit. What gauge wire should I use? Should the sub-woofers have their own jacks or put both into one? I think that's all i have left.

all the speakers get wired to the one jack. use 12 or 14 gauge wire.

You should probably lock this one too while you're at it.
