anybody know anything about web hosting or some really good sites out there? purevolume and rocket radio give you room for only three songs, download.com takes forever to update (i applied for changes over two months ago; even when creating a new page it's just such a hassle to fill out a form for every single little thing. garage band is only good if you pay for it.
but anyway, does anybody know of any good, easy, and free ftp hosts or web page hosts? i want a nice looking main page and a place people can download stuff from.

Lets see. I've used Tripod and a few others for web hosting in the past. It's free, but I dont think there's tons of space. Maybe 100 MB. Ask Wyatt though, he knows more than I do.
I had an internet radio station for awhile on live 365. go to live365.com. I think thats free....or you can just set up a stream on your computer. You can do this with any decent mp3 program...like Itunes.

You could always make a site yerself, and then link a buncha other sites to it so it shows up higher on google and stuff.

yeah, eventually i will build my own site, when i get better at graphics and stuff. but then i still need to upload that to a server, because i'm not going to have money for a server anytime soon. i'm not worried about it being higher in search engines, though.

you get a lot of space when you get into college. you can build yourself a website when you get back into school... after you get out... then... whatever

wwu gives us each 10mb of space, which is nice for text and graphics, but not so good for mp3's. download.com is really slow sometimes, but for me that is outshined by the 50mb capacity and 192 bitrate mp3 factors.
i bought a domain name once for Rudy's. it was pretty expensive without any web space. after school you will probably be in debt and western or whoever will can your website. but how many projects last that long anyway?
i think a k-town radio would be awesome. i think you are super reasonable material andrew.

Wyatt has a bunch of stuff on some index type thing. talk to him. Garage Band is ok, if you feel like reviewing a bunch of stuff or paying $20 per song.

Wha?? Garageband? Think you got the wrong program there, buddy.
If you want a closed circuit transmission, I'd go with streaming with an mp3 playing program that supports it (like itunes--and this is free...). You just have to let people know what IP address to tune into.
Otherwise, I'd got with live365 radio or one of those. I think you can find one thats free.

there's a link to garageband on the bottom of the main page. i also reccomend people looking at sound click. unlimited songs for free, as long as they're under 10 mb. you also get a little message board for your band.
