right, so we should go ahead and start planning on doing a special show on kmxt. a kodiak music show. i want to get the new site up in time to promote it online. school starts in late august, so i think the show should be at this time so people can let others know about the show at school and everything. we should try to promote it and everything. it'd be cool if we could get members from the bands that have recordings on the air to talk about music and stuff. bands/acts that i know have recordings:
trigger
l-throw (and marianas/rudy's hill stuff)
yeti search and rescue
seth minyard
kelly
super groove operators
logan cole
niko
alfonso
reen
time for tea
ande
i could record converations with those people who are away and play them on the air when we get to their section. i/we need to get music from seth minyard, trigger, ys&d, and kelly. i have pretty much all the other stuff. also there are probably acts that have recordings that aren't listed. i'm sure they never come here, so it'd be cool if you guys could give suggestions or let other people know and stuff. i'd prefer not to play live stuff. i don't really care about sound quality. it's more to let people on kodiak know about the hobbyists bands and everything, even if they're not still here.
what would probably happen is everyone would be out in the waiting area or whatever until we played their music, then they could come into the soundboard room and we could interview them and everything, or something. we still need to take this up to kmxt and propose it. i just want to get started now to see if it's possible and stuff.
