This is a new weekly column where I talk about what music I'm listening to at the moment, cause I'm always rockin' to something.
Oh, and mods, since this is going to be a weekly column, could you put it in the section where I'm not allowed to post anything?
Anyway, on the burner this week:
I can't get enough Devo. They got the greatest hits CD at the Kodiak library. My favorite tracks:
Beautiful World Whip It (Oooh yeah!) Girl U want Freedom of Choice Gut Feeling Gates of Steel Working in the Coal Mine I hate their version of Can't get no satisfaction.
Some others I'm addicted to:
Iron Maiden's debut album. I love it. I got it from one of my friends at UAF before I took the semester off. Every track's pretty good including the first track "Prowler." It sounds different because they haven't gotten Bruce Dickenson yet, but its still goood. I also got Judas Priest's Stained Class album, and I love the song "Exciter." Rockin.
Oh, and to round out the fruity music after Devo.....I got ABBA's Gold (Greatest Hits) from the library too. Some great dance numbers on there, that I have to say I'm sorta addicted to. Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, and Lay all Your Love on Me are the ones I'm addicted to right now.

The Dude, you are one of only two people I know outside myself who have the first Iron Maiden album. Next to Powerslave, it is my favorite Maiden album. Come on, man, "Phantom of the Opera"? Could you be more kickass? I don't think so. Also, only two of the guys on that album are still in Iron Maiden, Dave Murray on lead guitar and Steve Harris on bass. Everyone else is gone. Right now, it's Bruce Dickinson on vocals, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Janick Gers on guitars, Steve Harris on bass, and Nicko McBrain on drums. Used to be, Paul Di'anno on vocals, Dave Murray and Dennis Stratton on guitars, Steve Harris on bass, and Clive Burr on drums. I am a total Iron Maiden geek.

Yeah, the first album is pretty kickass. Definitely one of my favorite Maiden albums next to Powerslave. Most people seem to like the Number of the Beast album the best, but I think its sorta overrated...maybe the stuff is just overplayed or something.

A Perfect Circle covered Freedom of Choice on their new album. lagwagon covered freedom of choice but it didn't make the album. you can hear it on "let's talk about leftovers" (songs they recorded but didn't include on cds)
