Well, we ended up with no lights, which was no big deal, and the PA system blew, but the show turned out well I think. I'll just go by the bands.
Inter Silva- Holy crap, I didn't mess up that Tool song a single time. Wow. My other song.. well, I have gotten a few positive reviews, but I didn't like how it came out. I held back, and forgot some stuff, so I didn't play everything I had planned to. It could have gone better.
Yeti Search and Rescue- Well, I spent about half of their set looking for Val, but what I heard was awesome. They rocked.
Corporate Rock Whores- Wow. Totally fucking awesome. For me, they were the high point. They rocked my face off.
Thousand Tongues of Fire- Always great to listen to. I love the Creepy Little Fish song, and Monkey. You guys need a few endings, but it's good stuff.
SG Ops- Awesome, always fun to listen to. Too bad I was blown out by the time they got up. The air guitar was excellent.
Ande- I loved it! Awesome Pumpkins covers, and nice Hipster reference. Great way to close the show. We all loved it.
The Tonedeaf Sock Puppets- We sucked, but we did it really, really, really loud and without a drummer.

Corporate Rock whores were pretty kick ass, I missed the first two though, and the SG Ops were good for kickin' back to.

I really enjoyed Music on the Mall Corporate Rock Whores blew me away, I was expecting some horrible half-assed middle school band, but they were pretty good, except they wouldn't stop playing Nirvana.

the show wasnt very good. shades band sucked. most of the show was painful. sg ops were awesome as always though, and ande was just as kickass.
good thing the pa was broken. i listened in the headphones and the singers were just as painful as the rest of their bands.
the coolest part of the show(other than me playing the keyboard) was ande. this probably wont mean much to you coming from me, but you blew me away. keep making awesome music.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stick around for most of the show... Super Groove Operators were great (OF course...) and what I was able to hear from Ande was wonderful. Everything else I heard, I must admit, I wasn't all that impressed with. I didn't see a whole lot though. And it could have been all the sound stuff...

I wish I could've been there. But that has nothing to do with the show. But I'm off topic. And kidding.

SG Ops ruled. Everybody in that band played tight I thought. Great guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and reeded (cant remember what instrument that dude was playing) instrument playing.
Ande was the only other one I heard. Wish you would have played the whole Tonight, Tonight by the Pumpkins. I love that song. Your first 30 seconds of the song before quitting was great.

About the PA: I don't know. Joe thinks that ther is suppose to be some equalizer for those speakers. The marshall we hooked up picked up all the signals from the guitars and was pretty muddy. About Corp Rock Whores: I'd say they get the "Suprised Me Most" Award. I thought they were going to be a crappy half-assed band, but they were pretty good. Yeti S&A: Ska is awesome, and they were, too. Defacadets: Unfortunetly, defacadets did not play. Alex, you need to get your guitar. SG Ops: What can I say? Ande: Rocked my socks off. I think Listless is my favorite song. Thousand Tongues of Fire: We sucked, but it was awesome. I think. Justin is going to work on playing the songs the same way we practice them, I'm going to work on actually playing the bass, and our drummer is out of town. Who can drum? Inter Silva: I got to figure out what was wrong with the PA during you set. You should always open Missing equipment: I'm gonna make a thread in Genereal Discussion

Music on the Mall was awful. A few good performances doesn't make up for the fact that it was, on the whole, half-assed and amateurish. Every single band, except Corporate Rock Whores and SG Ops played the beginnings of songs, and then started over! And they did it on multiple songs! You can't fucking do that at a show! No one out there wants to hear you jackasses rehearse, do that beforehand. If you screw up in the middle, too bad! Just keep going and try to get it together before too long. It was a fun show, but in no way was it "good."

sg ops are so sick it's disgusting. i think jermiah gardener would die from choking on his own vomit after hearing the total raunchiness of the band. they're the best to grace this planet let alone this rock. don't fuck with their perfection.

okay. we sucked. first off, we had to stop in the midst of our first song because the amp failed, and after the point of having no vocals, i didnt want to play at all, and kelly kept trying to play stupid songs that sound retarded without lyrics, because the only thing that changes throughout the song is the lyrics. i apologize to anyone who had to sit through the hell that was our attempt at a set. we recorded one of our songs today, so people can hear what we WOULD have sounded like, had there been everything all good to go, at www.myspace.com/yetisearchandrescue

why did you guys like the corporate rock whores? everybody i talked to said seeing those dumbasses up there made them want to do nothing more than beat the shit out of them, because they are so stupid. and they ruined a lot of good songs.
and how come the defacadets couldnt play? forrest said we we were then when we got there he said we couldnt

Yeah, Ryan, I have no clue why the amp crapped out on you. When I went up to play it, one of the speaker out jacks wasn't working, but when I played graduation the next day, they both worked fine. It's always nice when equipment fixes itself.

The defecadets didn't get to play because I said you guys could play during sound check if there was enough time, which there wasn't. I started over about 5 seconds into my first song because the snare was still on. I thought that song came out nicely, but I was unhappy with my original song.

Forrest, your songs were well played, but the whole "nothing but guitar" idea is just ill-conceived. Tool does not work as solo guitar stuff. If you were playing Yngwie or something where it's just about guitar or something, it would be better, but it was kind of embarassing to watch that.

Yeah... I wanted to have people to perform with, but it sort of didn't happen. I'm sure you don't care, but I appreciate your input.
