never having been to a real concert, i thought music fest was pretty awesome. lots of drunk people. very few coasties. i was kind of dissapointed in the music part of it though. the only bands that i really enjoyed were the millionaires and surrender dorothy. those guys sound really good for being 14 and 15 years old. and for only having one male member. whatd you guys(just forrest and ande i guess) think of it?

I wasn't too impressed. Surrender Dorothy's guitaruist really knows the pentatonic scale. They had the songs down, but they weren't like.. special. Val and I left after they started playing Sweet Home Alabama. The stuff Asa and I did.. eh.. we'll do better next time. It was much better than sock full of steel, and I thought our cover of A Stranger actually went pretty well. I also saw the viking guy. And some stoned kids yelled at me. I guess they knew me. I didn't acually listen to a lot of the music. I had two really tasty Dr. Peppers while I was out there. Oh, and I'm not generally a huge fan of Leedy's music aside from the fact that he is really fucking good, but he played some imporvisational shred stuff with some Yngwie and random stuff (Star Wars theme, Phantom of the Opera) thrown in, and I thought it was actually pretty sweet. He played the national anthem too. A bit overboard, but that's what we've come to expect from him.

i thought surrender dorothy was something special. there was no huge amount of talent(id say that fat guitarist was better than you though forrest) but they sounded really good together, which is a lot more than i can say for most bands. i didnt know justin played...i wish i could have seen that. when did he play?

Right after us. At like 4:30 on Saturday. That fat guitarist really knew his pentatonic scale. He had that scale down.
