Dude, I'm totally in for Fly-By I have some perfect stuff to play. If you guys don't have time to put me in, that's cool, but I can play.

Are you gonna sing, Forrest? Cause if you are, you really need to work on singing at the same rhythm that you're playing.

as far as the fly-by goes, logan and ryan have been trying to get a gig there for the past few months. but we're going to talk tomorrow about a date and stuff. it might only be us and yaefer, and maybe someone else. just kind of a more private thing. though it might be cool to get the fly-by packed with people... Months? Haha. Yeah, since about this summer is maybe a little more accurate. Ryan never wanted to talk to my boss so it never got planned. They could've had a show easily, all they needed to figure out what day and talk to Doreece. I'm all for helping out with any Fly-By shows, though. But if you decide to do one, talk to Doreece right away to figure out dates and everything.

I wouldn't dare mock Tool's extremely talented vocalist with such disgustery. Asa will be singing. Maybe I should tell him he's singing. I am printing out tabs for the song right now, though. I know, I know, cheater cheater. I can't get any of Tool's songs without using tabs.

I haven't printed out tabs in months. Usually that's the only way I can learn a whole song. There's always one part I just can't get right.

Sometimes you're just wrong. Like right now. Asa is an annoying douche sometimes, but whatever else he is, he is an extremely talented vocalist.

Yeah, when Asa or myself can calm down and focus a little bit we can both do pretty passable jobs of vocalizing. At the concert last night, I was not calm or vocal-focused so I screamed. Asa probably just sang a little off and harshly because he couldn't hear himself. We needed a vocal monitor.

Despite all that, both of you sounded really good. That Tool style really suits Asa's voice and your metal singing was awesome.

I think an outdoor show would be awesome, but get ready to retune your guitar every two minutes, man. Humidity is not kind to musical instruments. Let's try to go for a Teen Center show like we were promised last year by JLO. I think NECROPOLIS could play our same set plus a bit more in two weeks if you want to do it then. being outside doesn't affect it all that much, you elitist. even if it does sound out of tune a bit, you can blame it on the reflections or lack of. or just tune between songs, which isn't that much of a hassle

No one was in tune and the strings were coated in rust by the end of a set. Don't get me wrong, if Forrest went with the outdoor concert I'd be stoked and would definitely play and hang out, but I think an indoor thing would be easier on everyone. Especially since we don't know if it's going to rain or not.

what kind of strings were you using that would rust during one set? i've played outside in the rain before. proper tuning wasn't an issue. the drums sliding on the rickety stage were an issue. the rain just made it more hardcore

When I decided to play guitar it was because of a video I saw of Bush's lead singer/guitarist Gavin what's-his-face perform "Glycerine" and it started raining halfway through the song. It was so awesome.

I think it'd be pretty hot to watch a bunch of guys getting all soaked while still playing awesomely...
...but that's just me. Ahem.

I've got a little lady of my own there, Tucker. Not that I didn't assume Rachel's comment was directed at me, but I have to resist.

Too bad the Cry of the Wild Ram Ampitheater got torn down. That would have been so sweet for a concert.
Looks like I might need to get all wet before I play air guitar next time.

i'm talking about your inflamed ego, not your faithfulness, which i appreciate I like to think of myself as a pretty modest guy. Considering how awesome I am, I should be WAY more conceited than I am.
