Why not plan for another concert at the end of school, or the beginning of school next year?

yeah...
we're gonna wait a while. everyone involved is pretty exhausted right now, so we're gonna take it easy and think about a concert later. but we are definately planning on having another. i know forrest wants to do another one, then i guess there's thorstock, and time for tea will hopefully put on a show with one or two other bands when we have more material (and cd's).

Alright, we have three months before summer and at the beginning of summer we have Thorstock II. I think three months is plenty of time to have more than one show. If we plan on one at the end of March or early April, and another sometime in May everyone would have time to get it together more so than they already have (or haven't as the case may be). I vote we do two shows plus Thorstock. I know Forrest does all the dealings with Big Bob, so I'll talk to Forrest about helping out with planning and logistics.

we're probably gonna sit out one of those if you have two, and sit out thorstock (if by chance we were invited, which is doubtful considering our sound).

I think it'd be cool to have one concert be the mellower stuff like Time for Tea and the SG Ops and Yaefer playing whole sets and the other concert would be the hard stuff like NECROPOLIS, the Defacadets (or whatever they're calling themselves by then), the Tonedeaf Sockpuppets, All Except One and whoever also playing full sets. Then the invited elite will be allowed to play at Thorstock II in a giant explosion of end-of-the-school-year awesome.
This is a good plan. Use it.

Sounds good to me. I want to find other peopel interested in covering Tool songs. I know Brandon totally wants to do stuff with me, and we have Asa to sing. Who wants to play bass? I'll bet V-Shizzle will. I'll have to ask him. We can totally play some mosh-fest stuff at Thorstock (providing I have an invitation...) and at the other show thingy. The Tonedeaf Sockpuppets may or may not be in and out with one show. I want to focus on Tool stuff but we'll see.

Talk to Meade tomorrow and get the wheels spinning. Looks like I'm getting some more stencils on my jacket and guitar case...

I think like the week before the bonfire is when I should start talking to him about it.

Whatever, man. You know what you're doing better than I do. You made Sock Full of Steel happen and we all trust you to do it again.

I just got a totally sweet set of ideas. James told me he could get risers and generators and shit to do an outdoors show (no school invovlement), or I could talk to the Teen Center. I know it's early, but i don't care. I want to hear what you guys think. Also, Ande, Yaefer and Max March are planning a mellower show at Harborside, which I will also have material for. So yeah. Let's hear it. Teen center or outdoors?

you might have to look into permits for an out door show.

outdoor shows with no noise reflecting or whatever are sweet, but each snare hit sounds like a gunshot. you'd probably have to find a pretty secluded area (with a noise permit, and probably a fire permit too assuming you'll have a fire at some point)

I think an outdoor show would be awesome, but get ready to retune your guitar every two minutes, man. Humidity is not kind to musical instruments. Let's try to go for a Teen Center show like we were promised last year by JLO. I think NECROPOLIS could play our same set plus a bit more in two weeks if you want to do it then.

as far as the fly-by goes, logan and ryan have been trying to get a gig there for the past few months. but we're going to talk tomorrow about a date and stuff. it might only be us and yaefer, and maybe someone else. just kind of a more private thing. though it might be cool to get the fly-by packed with people...
