it would be SWEET if the outdoor concert was inside the skatepark, or something like that. be able to skate, mosh, and have a good time.

Ouch. I don't think that skating and moshing on concrete inside an outdoor cage with lots of loud music across from a children's park is a very good idea. Interesting image, though.

i guess ideally that'd be pretty sweet, but that's only something you see on tv where the musicians have their own balcony to play on where the skateboards have slim chance of reaching when flown astray. Skateboarders are just so dangerous. That would be great to skate with live bands going at it

As sweet as that might be, I am thinking "no."

Yeah, I think if we could find somewhere with a grass field or something that wouldn't hurt too bad to get knocked down on and also wouldn't be disgusting in the rain it would be good. I changed my mind, I want an outdoor concert. That'd be sweet.

Mr Langfit (lanfiht.. langhfit... I don't know) told me today that if I spoke to Ian Fulp, the P&R Director, we could probably use the Teen Ceneter for free if we are collecting cans from people instead of actual admission. As far as the oustide concert, I'll organize whatever you guys want. I need to find out where I could get a noise permit, and where we would do it. The high school sort of "has" Near Island for homecoming, but it's a really good spot. I just don't think it would be cool to horn in on their bonfire deal. Any other ideas? The football field would be cool, but I think it's safe to say it's out. They probably wouldn't want a bunch of teens moshing around on their grass. Ideas, let's hear em.

I was talkign to Andrew, and I guess there is no reason we shouldn't use near island. The question is, do you guys want to mosh on gravel? I did this year at homecoming.. I didn't get hurt, but I could have. Rocks are sharp. I'll do what you guys want, though.

I was part of a concert last fall that took place by the Cry of the Wild Ram theatre place in Ft. Abercrombie. But we were a small singing group, and there were some violinists and guitarists there so we weren't making much noise. It is a really gorgeous spot and there are also covered picnic tables... I could totally picture it, with the water in the background and all that, but I don't know... Noise may be a possible problem. Wyatt and Sean, what do you think?

That would be cool too. I'll wait for a few more ideas, then I'll make a list of our options.

I love the idea, but noise could possibly be a problem, well, I don't it would be too bad. I don't know where these covered picnic tables are though... Too bad they dont have the stages down there any more. They were covered, and had seating and everything. It wouldhave rocked. Literally. --;

Isn't that the place down there with the picnic tables underneath a gazebo sort of thing? Maybe there are no tables... I could've sworn there were, but oh well.

I had another idea. East Elementry has a huge sandy playground type area where thier baseball diamond is. That would be totally sweet. There is also Coon Field, which would be equally sweet.

But those are both residential areas... I sort of doubt that people would be okay with that.

I could've sworn there were, but oh well. are you talking about that party area down that steep driveway type thing? with the volleyball net and whatnot? the gazebo covered picnic areas some kind of deep red color? would you need permission to use that space?

I'm not entirely sure... That could be it, though. I don't remember a vollyball net, but there may very well be one. I should ask the lady that put on our concert to see if she had to get permission.

it's the one out there in the same neighborhood with abercrombie. back there past the gravel parking lot to the right. they usually have the "driveway" chained up

I don't think there are any gazebos or volleyball nets in Abercrombie. I have been all over that park.
