Two halogen lights? I was thinking more like the lights that Tom Kjera lets us use for the dances... Just talk to Valentin about it and I'm sure he'd be able to get them with no problems. That way you can have awesome colors and very full lighting which will make the concert more visually appealing. And it will make you guys look awesome.

You think I need help looking awesome? Tomorrow, i want you to take agood long look at me and realize the error of your ways. I don't have the time, motivation, stamina, or health of body to do a damn thing about getting fancy lights. I am so swamped with crap right now, if you want to do it and organize it for the show through Ande that's great, but I wont do it. I can't.

Forrest, you have like three open hours. I go to school five days a week, all six periods, I work after school three days a week and I work all days on Saturdays. I am also in charge of planning our Chamber Ensemble concert that is in about two weeks, and I'm trying to fit drama rehearsals inbetween. Also, I've been in Washington for the past six days and I have four school days worth of work to make up for.
I think my point has been made...
You DO look awesome.

sorry, no room. we're cutting it close as it is..
i'll talk to valentin and stuff and help out with lights. i will also be willing to use my van or my dad's truck to help people haul any equipment the day of the show. i'll be up early. anybody can call me anytime for anything. i'll help anybody who wants my help.
also forrest... did that kid make sure it's ok to use the PA? it doesn't have the juice we need anyway, and i don't want to have mr. d dragged into this. we need something else. i'll see what i can do with lhotka and the music department, or rachel if you want to.

what's with the strict three hour limit anyway? shows seldom start on time because people don't generally show up on time and bands don't like to play a "show" if there's no audience. but that's not the only reason ande, i think you should put forth some effort into the lighting situation since no one else seems to want to do it. you're going this far, there are reasons why you should not stop. get sweet lighting. it does a lot. if you're able to change colors for different songs or different parts, people will remember it more and it will have more of an impact and it might have a chance of rivalling thorstock
i think it's great. i never had this kind of motivation in high school

Amen!
I'm sorry for being rude Forrest, I understand that you're under a lot of pressure with this concert. I'll help with the lighting situation, and I know Valentin will too. We've both done it before, they're in the auditorium, V. is on Tom's good side and he really knows how to use the equipment. As long as we get them back to Tom in good condition and in good time it should not be a problem at all. We can do the set up for those, work them, and put them away when it's over.

the three hours limit is all mr. meade because we are using the school. it doesn't make much sense to me why we have to be done by ten because the dances usually go to midnight. i'll put forth some effort into the lighting situation, but like rachel said, valentin is on tom's good side, he has a better chance of getting it done since he has used the stuff before. the only thing i'm worried about right now is the PA. we NEED a good amp. not some dinky little fender thing or some 100 watt crate thing. it's not powerful enough over the drums. i'll ask mr. lhotka if he knows of anything we can use. as far as a chance of being better than thorstock... it makes me laugh. thorstock was a fun show, but honestly, it wasn't a good show. it was a bunch of kids fucking around in one big orgy of a jam session. more people came to play than people who came to watch. i believe already with what we have it will be a better show. now we just need to go the extra mile so it holds some light to some of the other shows. alex said something about putting two hours in to clear that driveway... forrest has put weeks of planning into this.

All right, fine.
I'll pull some strings, I know Tom very well (we worked together) and can get the lights, but I run sound boards, not lighting boards. Someone else will have to.
I can probably get a powered 8 or 12 channel mixer and some PA speakers. I can also get some microphones (Abel asks me everyday if there will be enough mics)
I will know by tomorrow what PA I get and I'll hunt down Tom whenever I get free time (like, all day)
I'm also on the computer from now (9:15) until 9:55, then back on from about 12:00 until 3-4 (ya, I have all computer classes) So you can PM me or post something and I'll get it very soon.

Rachel, it's fine. I do appreciate your help though. We are goignt o use the mixer form James' church and 2 of their cabs, and we need 3 mis from wherever. As far as lights go, I don't care what happens. Get it set up through Ande, I just don't have time to worry about it.

All right, fine. but I run sound boards, not lighting boards. Someone else will have to. Brendan Doyle(Shamarock when he was posting) has offerend numerous times to do that lighting......as he can and is willing to do it.
