Ok everything is SET. If you have microphones, bring them. Tom is letting us use the auditotiums PA system and lights (technically the auditoriom wasn't suppose to let us use ANYTHING. You all can thank me later. And thank Rachel for the whole lighting idea)
the canned food thing is NOT a joke. People need to bring this stuff.
Drums are set, lights are set, PA is set
After the show we are suppose to set the tables and chairs up. Plan to stay and help.
Mr. Meade also wants LESS moshing. Personally, I don't think there was problem, no one died. But rules are rules.

I have a boom stand for a microphone, but I lost that little plastic clip thing for holding the mic. You could tape a mic to the stand and it would work just fine, though.

Jackson is playing drums with NECROPOLIS and I'm gonna sing. Doesn't really change anything, just thought I'd let you all know.

Yeah. We can't have ANY moshing. I am serious. Anyone who is will be immediately removed from the show. I don't care if it's stupid, it's a rule. meade gave me so much just letting me put this show on, I am not going to abuse the trust I have from him. Also, we need bright, offensive tape to put ont he floor to seperate the BAND AREA and AUDIENCE AREA.

i'm gonna tell you what's stupid
when i was in high school, there wasn't much for punk bands around kodiak, but when there was some punk music, it was some of the best times i'd had, getting in the middle of the floor and getting myself pushed around a bit while (not violiently) pushing others only when they got in front of me. that's how moshing goes.
but then later in the years some drunk dipshits started throwing punches and kicks and started jumping around with limbs flying around. one girl got nailed in tha mouth at one of our shows. i felt terrible. she had to leave. at a different show i was at, i joined the pit and i happened to reach a point where both of my feet were off the ground and i got violently shoved at shoulder level so that i landed square on my upper arm. i'm surprised it wasn't dislocated when i got up. not to mention the giant bruise i developed on my hip. i've never moshed since.
people have been losing teeth, blacking eyes, and dislocating joints since then. it's stupid. moshing can be fun if it's just pushing and having a good time with a good band. it's a good feeling for the band too. bands love getting a response. keep your hands unfisted and your elbows free of others and moshing is so.much.fun. what's better than pushing your friend into a crowd and running into him later when you're both all sweaty and telling each other about your harmless moshing experience? does that experience exist anymore?

Yeah. It pretty much gets bad everytime it happenes here. Meade is just being safe... It would be different if it wasn't in the School, but it is.

Yeah, Meade's being an ass. But face it...he has to be. It's in a school. I can't really blame the dude.
It'd be totally kickass to have moshing tho. I'd be in. For sure.

he's not being an ass, he's being careful
i wouldn't allow it either, after what i've been through in the stupid boneheaded drunken moshes
they didn't use to be harmful, then some dumbasses started throwing punches and head butts. it was all downhill from there. blame it on my class for your lack of wholesome fun at a community driven show

Tucker's right. I know everyone that will be there probably won't do anything stupid like the drunks he's talking about, but if we keep it calm we might be able to do this again before the end of the year. I'm pretty sure headbanging is okay and jumping around is okay, but as soon as you get into contact with other people it needs to stop.
Forrest, please edit my post if I'm wrong about what is and isn't allowed.

Sometimes you need to be careful, but that makes you look like an ass to everybody else, thats what I was trying to say...

Headbanging is totally ok. It's the whole movement/contact thing that can't happen. Standing in place banging your head is absolutley necessary for a good rockage, and is allowed.

as far as a chance of being better than thorstock... it makes me laugh. thorstock was a fun show, but honestly, it wasn't a good show. it was a bunch of kids fucking around in one big orgy of a jam session. more people came to play than people who came to watch. thats what made it so awesome. id take that anyday over forrests concert...theres too much stress involved in forrests. im not saying your show wont be awesome forrest, because it will. heres a hint if you want your show to be even better...dont let winters apathy play. ables a fag. sos the singer. i dont know about the drummer, but he probably is too.

That way they can cancel out whatever crap you're going to play (provided you are going to play). That way the awesomeness will peak in neutral territory. I'm not really sure what I said, but its bullshit o'meter reading is slightly lower than yours.

Get over yourself and sing. No one there could really sing, in case you hadn't noticed, and you would've been better off doing it yourself than having Forrest and Andy do it. They're great guys, but neither has any idea of how to sing on rhythm. Other than that, just practice all the time.
