I had only heard Bury within the Sound, but right now I'm listening to Demure for the first time. It's awesome. demure taught me almost everything i know. haha i became obsessed, but now i can play all the songs on that album beginning to end, though of course nowhere near as at ease as mr compton i came back one summer surprised to find meg listening to demure at the fly-by. i had no idea she liked it. our friendship got closer afterwards edit: it's just a little exciting to hear good people approving of engine down. i like them too much

I feel the same way when I find out people listen to Iron Maiden. It's kind of like they're members of our little club.

Hey, man, come on. There was a compare and contrast thing between the two bands on the first couple pages so I think it's alright to work them into the conversation sparingly.

consider me not serious in any case you find yourself reading what i've written.
edit: ^^and that's the last time i'm saying it!^^
that was just a really odd way of saying i agree, but that would be redundant by agreeing with what i originally said in a way, so i gave you shit instead

( *gasp* what did he say?) It seems that you're divided on this issue. Listen to whoever it was inside you that said this. They're right.

i think it might have something to do with being very talented but still feeling the need to put forth an image of the typical eighties rockers. talent with diminished integrity. maybe. like they're lowering themselves to the level of the bonehead mass audience for popularity, when really, those fans don't matter for anything other than money. But if all they're going for is the money, then i find them a humorous band also. Not like going for money is a horrible thing, it's just a choice they make to stoop and maybe compromise for the good of their hot tub

They are just doing what they want to do. They just rock, the whole theme is just that, a theme. They are a power metal band, and any good power metal band needs a good theme. They have the best. They have continued to evolve musically, and have had a massive fan base that grows with every new album. I would love them even if their live shows consisted of them standing there and playing. Their theme and their passion just makes the live shows that much more awesome. I am speaking from first-hand experience, by the way.
