You got an official thank-you from me at the end on the Mic. Everyone heard that. You have been recognized.

lights dont have the capability of kicking ass. they are not a required part of an awesome concert. they're just lights.

I find it hard to believe that Sock Full of Steel, that bastion of indiscriminate ass-kicking, was put on by the same people as the painful shit-fest that was Music on the Mall.

No, it's because everyone acted like they were playing in their basements and no matter how many times you fuck up you can just say "No, wait..." and start over and no one will care. Shade's band didn't do that, I don't know what you think is wrong with those guys. I don't listen to Nirvana but as far as playing live goes those guys were one of the only somewhat-together bands up there.

Part of it was lack of anything Iron Maiden. Oh, and most of the bands needed more practice. I didn't hear a lot of it though. It was a combination of things. SG Ops stole the show as usual, just because they can play tight and the music is all around awesome- its enjoyable for a wide audience.

That's true, the Ops play a kind of universal music that just about anyone can enjoy (you all know my feelings on Metal, but I am an SG Operator and it rocks). The other bands there played somewhat esoteric music, and not very well either.

Shade's band didn't do that, I don't know what you think is wrong with those guys. because the people in it are really really stupid, and they play shitty music. they are the hot topic version of hanson. the hanson directed at angsty suffering youth.

They stole the Campbell's soup slogan, but instead of "Mm, mm, good", they made it "Mm, mm, bop." Just as delicious, though.
